Marcella Simms is a woman after God’s own heart, devoted to sharing His redeeming love through service, testimony, and outreach. Born and raised in Austin, Texas, her journey reflects God’s power to restore—transforming a life once marked by trauma, addiction, and brokenness
into one anchored in faith, purpose, and bold ministry. After surrendering her life to Christ 32 years ago, Marcella has been faithfully serving His kingdom ever since.
She is the founder of The Least of These ATX, a nonprofit providing essential resources to Austin’s homeless and underserved communities. Known for her fearless outreach, she ministers in prisons and some of Austin’s toughest areas, offering hope through her testimony.
A retired Media Marketing Executive with 27 years at the Austin American-Statesman, Marcella is currently writing a book chronicling her journey of deliverance and restoration. She treasures worship, reading, and time with her husband Oscar, their six children, and twenty-four grandchildren.
Marcella lives each day with gratitude for sobriety and salvation, declaring, “This is my story. This is my song. Praising my Savior all day long.”
