Sarah Reyes is a Program Manager at Building Promise USA. She earned degrees in Human Development and Family Sciences and Social Work (2020), and completed a Master of Science in Social Work (2021). Previously, she served as the Youth Justice Policy Director at TCJE.

Sarah’s commitment to social justice began in her first social work class, which helped her understand how inequities in the criminal punishment system—and the connected systems around it—affect both youth and adults. As a brown queer woman, her lived experience and community connections deeply inform her work, shaping the policy advocacy she previously led and guiding how she approaches programming now.

In her current role, Sarah focuses on advancing programs and policies that promote fairness, reduce harm, and expand opportunities for people impacted by the justice system.
